GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Texas Southern women’s golf team won their second consecutive tournament as they claimed the Gulf Shores Collegiate Invitational hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association.
Senior Rev Alcantara was the overall winner after posting a 4-over 76 for her final round.
“Everybody improved in one way or another today,” Texas Southern University head golf coach Dr. Gary Grandison said.
Ashlie Hobbs finished in second place overall with her 7-over round of 79.
“We still have to improve so I look forward to our preparations for the next tournament.” Grandison concluded.
The Tigers return to the links for their final tournament of the season Nov. 14-16 as they compete in the Birmingham Invitational hosted by the SWAC.
