The Texas Southern women’s bowling team completed the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) West Round Up going 5-2 overall.
The Tigers went 2-2 on Saturday as they defeated Grambling State (921-777) and Southern University (911-906). However, they would fall short to Prairie View (840-823) and Jackson State (921-856).
TSU won three straight matches on Sunday against Alcorn (922-800), FAMU (865-686), and Alabama A&M (907-824).
Evan Smith led the way for TSU with a 1295 pin-fall, averaging 185.0 in seven matches.
The team will return to action on Friday, Feb. 23 at the North Carolina A&T Stalling Invite.
