GRAMBLING, La. – Texas Southern notched its tenth league win of the season with a 77-70 victory over Grambling State on Saturday.
TSU's Zach Lofton shot 9-of-15 from the field and scored a game-high 23 points as the Tigers shot an impressive 54 percent from the floor as a team.
Marvin Jones added 15 points while teammate Kevin Scott contributed 14 points, four assists, three steals and two blocks.
Texas Southern made 22-of-27 (81 percent) from the free throw line in the second half after connecting on 2-of-4 in the first half.
TSU will face Jackson State on Monday to close out a two-game road swing.
