DOVER, Del.- The Texas Southern Tigers played in two games in less than 24 hours but you would not have been able to tell by the high level energy and focus TSU played with on Sunday.

Dulani Robinson scored 20 points and Marvin Jones recorded a double-double with 15 points and 21 rebounds as Texas Southern used a big first-half run to surge past Delaware State 74-61 on Sunday.

Jones' jumper tied it at 9-9 and began a 14-3 run that the Tigers used to build a 30-26 halftime advantage. Texas Southern controlled the tempo throughout the second half, leading by as many as 17 points.

Texas Southern guard Jalan McCloud scored 14 points off the bench and Derrick Griffin added 10 points for the Tigers, who went on to outrebound the Hornets 46-23.
