The TSU softball team will play in Houston for the first time this season as they’ll travel down Interstate 69 for a midweek match-up at Houston Christian Wednesday at 4 p.m.
History says today’s battle will be close as the past eight games have been decided by an average of 2.4 runs per game. HCU won last year’s contest 3-2 after scoring twice in the sixth which allowed them to overcome a one-run deficit.
TSU is looking for its first win of the year after participating in the Cowgirl Classic at McNeese State last weekend. After Wednesday’s game, TSU will have an extended period of time off as they won’t return to action until Friday, Feb. 24.
