The Texas Southern soccer team heads south to face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for their 2023 season opener on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
TSU is coming off a 2-2 tie against UTRGV in an exhibition last weekend. Victoria Pucci scored two goals within a matter of minutes to help TSU overcome an early 2-0 deficit. Goalkeepers Jaidyn Christophe, Alicia Audu and Alyssa Hart had 13 saves between them.
Earlier this week, the SWAC announced its 2023 preseason team as sophomore Alyssa Taylor, Pucci and senior Jaidyn Christophe all earned second team honors.
