Texas State scored a pair of goals in each halves as the Texas Southern soccer team fell 4-0 on Thursday evening at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
Texas State made an immediate statement as Bailey Peschel scored its first goal within the first 36 seconds of the first half. The goal was assisted by Zoe Junior and Mady Soumare.
The Bobcats closed out the first half with another goal in 36th minute. The final two goals were scored in the 60th and 78th minute.
Goalkeepers Jaidyn Christophe and Alyssa Hart tallied a combine eight saves in the evening.
Texas Southern will travel back home to take on Houston Christian University. Kickoff from Alexander Dudley Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m.
