BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Texas Southern sophomore pitcher Naomi Reyes was named the SWAC's Pitcher of the Week.
A sophomore from Edinburg, Texas, Reyes threw her first collegiate no-hitter as TSU defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Feb. 21. She struck out seven batters in the contest. Reyes finished with a total of nine strikeouts in two appearances on the weekend as the Tigers competed at the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas. She also held opposing batters to a .108 batting average over two games.
