PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Phylan Perkins logged a career-best throw in the hammer as she placed second at the SWAC Championships on the Prairie View A&M campus.
The owner of the SWAC’s second-best throw entering the championships, Perkins achieved the career-best throw of 165-06 on her very first attempt. She also competed in the javelin and shot put as she placed 10th in both events.
