CLINTON, Miss. – Jose Gonzalez finished seventh overall as the Texas Southern men’s cross country team finished in sixth at The Watson Collegiate Cross Country Classic.
Gonzalez ran a time of 25:41 to finish seventh overall followed by freshman Jeremiah Barrera (26:46.3). Brandon Washington (27:21), David Livingston (27:31) and Dan Lerma (27:48.6) rounded out the TSU runners.
The meet was a mini preview of the upcoming SWAC Championship as TSU was the top conference team participating as three SWAC teams were also in the event.
