Sophomore outside hitter Danielle Lilley was named to the Spring 2021 Preseason Volleyball Team while the Lady Tiger volleyball team was picked third in the preseason poll which was voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
A sophomore from San Bernardino, Calif., Lilley earned 2019 All-SWAC Tournament honors and finished her freshman year ranked second on the team in kills (254) and second on the team in points scored (273). She was also the SWAC's Player of the Week on Oct. 23.
Under the guidance of new head coach Gabrielle Floyd, TSU opens its spring season Sunday at Arkansas-Pine Bluff followed by a Monday match-up at Grambling State.
