PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University will seek to even their record in Southwestern Athletic Conference play Saturday when they visit the Lady Lions of Arkansas–Pine Bluff. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
TSU seeks its first win in Pine Bluff since the 2015-16 season. The Lady Tigers have won nine of the last 12 meetings between the two teams, though Pine Bluff has won three of the last four. Each team won at home last season.

Turner for 3!
Marquia Turner leads the SWAC and ranks 35th in the nation in 3-point shooting. The graduate transfer from Canton, Ohio (Xavier) has made 42.2 percent (38 of 90) of her long-range shots.

Velez hitting her stride in SWAC play
Junior guard Richelle Velez has scored in double-figures in all five of TSU's conference games. Velez averages 10.8 points per game in conference play. She leads the SWAC in 3-point shooting in conference play by shooting 36.1 percent (13 of 36) from long range.

Mitchell not intimidated on the road
Over her last five road games, Niya Mitchell has averaged 11.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Mitchell scored 16 points and pulled in 17 rebounds in the Lady Tigers' 52-44 win at Prairie View A&M on Jan. 12.

Get to the line…
Getting to the free throw line has been key for the Lady Tigers on the road this season. TSU is 3-1 when they shoot at least 25 free throws away from home, and 3-0 when the Lady Tigers shoot 25 free throws in true road games.

Take the lead into the locker room
The Lady Tigers are 5-0 when they take a lead into halftime, but are 0-10 when they trail at the midgame break. TSU also won its only game in which the Lady Tigers were tied at halftime.
