TSUSports.com: Lady Tigers fall to TCU 77-48

FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU Horned Frogs scored 15 of the game's first 17 points Sunday as they defeated visiting Texas Southern 77-48.

Jordan Moore scored 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Horned Frogs, who improved to 7-3 on the season.

Joyce Kennerson and Kaitlyn Palmer led the Lady Tigers (5-4) with 11 points apiece. Kennerson, a sophomore guard from Port Arthur, Texas (Memorial) has scored in double-figures in each of TSU's nine games this season.

TCU scored the first six points of the game before the Lady Tigers scored their first points of the game on a jumper by Palmer with 4:44 remaining in the first quarter.

The Horned Frogs led 17-7 after the opening period and took a 43-21 lead into halftime.

The game was the first of two in two days for the Lady Tigers in the Metroplex. Texas Southern visits SMU on Monday, with tipoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
