HOUSTON – The Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University saw their run in the Toyota Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament come to an end Friday with a 66-59 loss to Grambling State.

Taylor Robinson scored 17 points and pulled in eight rebounds to lead three TSU players scoring in double figures. Kaitlyn Palmer added 16 points, while Chynna Ewing chipped in 10 points.

Grambling (18-13) will face Southern in the SWAC championship game, after claiming its first SWAC Tournament win over Texas Southern since 1998. TSU will likely see its season come to an end with a 19-12 record.

The Lady Tigers of Grambling forced 24 TSU turnovers while committing only 11 in the game. TSU was held to 23 points in the second half after leading Grambling 36-33 at halftime.
After going 3-for-9 from 3-point range in the game, Palmer, the SWAC's 3-point shooting leader, upped her career total to 143 long-range shots, which ranks sixth in TSU women's basketball history.
