The Texas Southern University men’s golf team teed up for the opening rounds of the Lone Star Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston.
Redshirt Junior Landon Johnstone leads after posting a 159, carding a 4-over 76 in his second round to lead for the Tigers and in 14th place. Sophomore Devansh Chada is one shot behind with a 160 two-round total.
“Our men know what it takes to compete,” Texas Southern head coach Dr. Gary Grandison said. “We expect to regroup and gear up for the next 8 days.”
The Tigers conclude play on Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start at the Golf Club of Houston.
