MONTGOMERY, Ala.- After the first day of the Alabama State University Hornets Classic, the Lady Tigers Bowling team is currently in 4th place, with a total pin count of 4206. The Lady Tigers bowled 5 baker matches, and finished the day with a 1-4 record.
The first match against Alabama A&M the Lady Tigers start off strong by defeating the Bulldogs 843-587. Then Lady Tigers then fall short in a fight to Louisiana Tech losing by 52 pins in the second match. In the 3rd match against Southern University, the ladies go head to head each game, but was defeated 868-846. Next is two hard fought battles between TSU, the host Alabama State, and the FAMU. The Lady Tigers fall short in both matches.
The Lady Tigers will bounce back and compete in day 2 with chances of moving up in the standing. Five individual team games will be played today.
