BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alcorn State infielder Taylor Hughes and Texas Southern pitcher Jasmin Fulmore have been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week after their performances during games played from Feb. 19-25.
Fulmore made two starts, posting a 1-1 record during Texas Southern's recent week of play. As part of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Invitational tournament, the senior hurler amassed a 2.69 ERA as well, recording 11 strikeouts in 13 innings of work.
Fulmore capped her week with a victorious eight-inning outing where she allowed just one earned run and sat down seven hitters during the Lady Tigers' 4-3 victory over Nebraska-Omaha.
