History
Four different Tigers scored as the Texas Southern soccer team beat Alcorn State 4-2 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play inside Alexander Durley Stadium on Friday evening.
Texas Southern (2-11, 1-2 SWAC) dominated in all phases outshooting the Lady Braves 18-8 while finishing with a 9-5 edge in shots on goal.
How It Happen
Alcorn State (2-8, 0-3) struck early in the 4th minute after a goal by Samara Nunn assisted by Jaidyn Matheu.
Hajar Benjoud would tie the game in the 23rd minute as she netted her sixth goal of the season.
Kennedy Tristan gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead going into the break as she scored in the 39th minute, making it her second game in a row getting one in the back of the net for TSU.
One minute into the second half, the Lady Braves tied the match up as Nunn would score again.
Isabella Dillow scored her first goal of the season, unassisted in the 66th minute to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead, then assisted Liliane Clase Baez in her first goal of the season in the dwindling seconds of the match.
Bejoud paced the Tigers offensively having eight shots with five being on goal. Dillow and Baez each had three shots with one being on goal. Tristan had one shot with one being on goal.
TSU Goalkeeper Alessandra Bastidas played the second half while registering three saves.
The Lady Braves Goalkeeper Paula Argelaguet played a full game while tallying five saves.

Texas Southern will take on Mississippi Valley on Sunday at 1 p.m as they will honor senior players for Senior Day before the start of the game.
