The start of the 2019 football season is around the corner as the first training camp under the Clarence McKinney era kicks off this weekend on the Texas Southern campus.
The student-athletes officially reported Friday morning and hit the ground running as physicals were issued along with equipment fitting. The team's first meeting is scheduled for Friday afternoon as the student-athletes will hear from various university personnel before wrapping the day up.
The Tigers will hold their first practice on Saturday evening and continue until the 35th annual Labor Day Classic which is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 31 at 5:30 p.m. inside BBVA Stadium in Houston. Tickets are available for purchase at the BBVA Box Office or online (link is above).
