ALEXANDRIA, La. – Senior Grant Everson and sophomore Devansh Chadha earned First-Team All-SWAC honors following the final round of the 2021 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championship at Oakwing Golf Club on Wednesday.
Chadha finished tied for third place after his 1-over round of 73 to give him a total score of 226 (79-74-73). Everson concluded his collegiate career with a total score of 227 (77-73-77) earning him a fifth-place finish for the tournament.
The Tigers endured a chilly morning and character-defining pin placements in the final round to finish fourth overall in the tournament.
“Although we did not achieve our team goals this season, we had solid individual performances,” Texas Southern University head golf coach Dr. Gary Grandison said. “We had an enjoyable group of golfers that I will cherish.”
The 2021 SWAC Golf Championship concludes Texas Southern University’s spring season. The Tigers return to play in the fall with the schedule still to be determined.
