Texas Southern quarterback Andrew Body was named the Stats Perform FCS National and SWAC Player of the Week for his performance last weekend versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
The Corpus Christi, Texas native was a dual threat with both his arm and legs as he accounted for 392 yards of offense in TSU’s win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Body threw for 271 yards and four touchdowns on 16-of-21 passing while rushing for 121 yards on 16 carries with a touchdown.
Body, who has thrown for 1,476 yards and six touchdowns while also rushing for 415 yards and three touchdowns, was also named the SWAC’s Newcomer and Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 27 and Oct. 11, respectively.
Texas Southern is back in action this weekend at Jackson State on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m.
