Track & Field Teams Tunes Up For Postseason
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The TSU men’s and women’s track & field teams tuned up for the upcoming SWAC Championships by competing at the Texas A&M Alumni Muster this past weekend.
On the men’s side, Ahmad Muhammad placed fifth in the triple jump as he jumped 50-2.75 feet. His jump moved him to fifth in the SWAC as a result. Braylon Carr placed sixth in the event as he jumped 49-3.75 feet.
Chris Johnson logged a mark of 23-4.75 feet to place eighth in the long jump followed by Babacar Diop’s 10th-place performance (23-2). Even though he didn’t place in the top 10, Josh Brown moved to ninth in the SWAC in the 200 as he ran 21.03.
