Texas Southern kicked off its senior weekend in style with a dominant 12-0 win over Grambling State on Friday at the Houston Astros Urban Youth Academy.
Texas Southern wasted little time getting on the board as Kylie Wilson led the bottom of the first with a double and scored two batters later on Lanay Carr’s single. Karisma Garcia singled followed by Jade McQueen’s walk to load the bases which led to Dania Durr’s RBI single. Katelynn Cooper drew a bases-loaded walk, followed by Penelope Saenz’s RBI for a 4-0 lead.
