Men’s Golf Concludes Efforts At HBCU Hall of Fame

SUWANEE, Ga. – The Texas Southern Men’s Golf team posted a 36-hole total of 613 (311 – 302) to place eighth overall at the Thomas W. Dortch Jr. Golf Classic Hall of Fame hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association on Monday.

Junior Bradley Lavinier was the top scorer for the Tigers following his 6-over-par 148 (75 – 73) total. Lavinier’s final round included a birdie, 14 pars, and 4 bogeys.

Sophomore Yashal Shah had a nine-shot improvement in his final round with his even par, 71. Shah posted a 151 (80 – 71) to finish tied 16th individually. Freshman Javier Vazquez (81 – 76) and sophomore Ricardo Pham (75 – 82) each posted a 157 total.
