A seventh-inning walk off double was the difference as Houston Christian handed TSU a 3-2 road loss on Tuesday afternoon.
HCU would take a 1-0 lead after the third after scoring on a wild pitch and move ahead 2-0 in the fourth on an RBI single to center. TSU fought back in the fifth as Karisma Garcia’s hard hit ball to center was caught but Amerie Martin scored from third for a sac fly. Lanay Carr tied it at 2-all with an RBI single to score Kylie Wilson.
The contest would remain a defensive struggle until the seventh as HCU drew a one-out walk which paved the way for a game-ending RBI double.
