Texas Southern Lady Tigers Set to Battle Alcorn State in SWAC Tournament Showdown
• The Texas Southern Women’s basketball team is back in action at the SWAC Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday against Alcorn State at 11 AM.
•TSU’s Lady Tigers have only four conference losses, all on the road, against Southern, Grambling, Alcorn, and Jackson State. Before these defeats, they had an impressive 11-0 run in the SWAC, marking their best start since the 1980-81 season.
• This season, the women’s basketball schedule changes drastically as the women will play SWAC games on Thursday (single game) and Saturday (doubleheader). This marks the first time since 1995 that the SWAC has altered its league basketball schedule.
