PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – TSU’s bid to capture the series against Prairie View A&M fell short as they fell in doubleheader action on Saturday.

Prairie View A&M held off a late TSU charge to claim one 7-5.
PVAMU jumped out to a 3-0 lead after three but TSU tied it up in the fourth as Lanay Carr drove in DaNia Durr for a 3-1 margin. Amerie Martin drove in two runs to tie it at 3-all entering the bottom of the fourth.
An error on an infield bunt moved the leadoff runner to scoring position to open the fifth. The runner would eventually score for a 4-3 margin followed by a two-RBI single as TSU trailed 6-3. Marissa Martinez hit a one-out single in the sixth and she eventually scored on a passed ball. Kyle…
